Trenching is carried out using the latest techniques and technology by highly qualified operators. As we have several trenching machines including a new Vermeer T558, the only one of its kind in Australia at present,  we are therefore  able to offer a greater range of trench widths and depths for a variety of purposes such as:-

Alligator Constructions Pty Limited has a policy of upgrading machinery and equipment on a regular basis to keep pace with changing customer and industry requirements and practices.  All machinery and equipment is serviced and maintained on a regular basis to minimise downtime and inconvenience to our customers.

We have recently purchased a new Vermeer T558 (see pictures below) Trenching machine from the United States which has been modifed to suit our particular requirements. This machine is the only one of its kind in Australia at present and allows us to extend the trenching services we are able to offer.  It can dig up to 1.5m deep and 600mm in width.  

A 185 HP (138 kw) John Deere 6068HF275 engine produces the power for rock solid results in cross country drainage and utility pipe installations, as well as foundation and roadway projects. Combined with features like a sectionalized boom, large ROPS, and auto tilt tracks, the T558 offset trencher delivers the muscle, the cutting action, and the versatility to tackle tough trenching jobs.

This machine has a number of features which set  it apart from other trenching machines in its class.  These features are:-

• A sliding offset boom
• Automatic self levelling
• Sectionalised booms
• An Electronic Control System

Sliding Offset Boom
 The T558 is the only offset trencher in its class that has the capability to trench outside the width of the left track (up to 9"). This gives operators the ability to cut alongside obstacles such as guardrails, curbsides, walls, etc.

Automatic Self Levelling
The T558 will self level up to 10.7 degrees automatically. This means you can have a vertical trench in sloping conditions without leveling the right of way. This also improves on chain wear and helps prevent trench cave-ins. This feature assists in savingtime and money.

Sectionalised Boom
This feature offers greater versatility by allowing for the boom set-ups to be changed in a much shorter time.

An Electronic Control System
The introduction of the patented TEC 2000 (Trencher Electronic Control system) has revolutionized the trenching industry through service diagnostics and increased productivity.

Alligator Constructions is experienced in both Temporary & Permanent Shoring.

• Temporary Shoring is usually constructed prior to or during excavation and/or trenching work and is usually dismantled afterwards.

• Permanent Shoring is generally constructed to permanently retain materials and is designed to asthetically blend in with the surroundings. This type of shoring is usually used in Road Construction, Golf Courses, Landscaping etc.
